France, Germany, UK and US urge Iran to ‘cooperate with IAEA’

These countries also urge Tehran to “to comply with its legal obligations (…). to fully clarify and resolve these issues without further delay”.

The US and E3 (UK, France and Germany) Foreign Ministries on Wednesday urged Iran to “to comply with its legal obligations, and to cooperate with the IAEA”following a report concluding a lack of cooperation from Tehran.

The four countries “welcome the adoption by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of a resolution in response to Iran’s insufficient cooperation with the IAEA, contrary to what is required by its safeguards agreement concluded under the NPT (Treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, Editor’s note) on serious and unanswered questions related to the application of safeguards”according to a joint statement.

“We urge Iran to heed the international community’s call to uphold its legal obligations, and to cooperate with the IAEA to fully clarify and resolve these issues without further delay.”they add.
