The suspects are accused of having defrauded, between 2018 and 2019, a total of 12 million euros from more than 500 victims via fraudulent investments on false investment platforms in crypto-assets and on a site counterfeiting a civil society of asset management, detailed in a press release the prosecutor of the Republic of Bordeaux, Frédérique Porterie.
Accounts opened in Europe
According to investigators from Jirs de Bordeaux, the funds were placed in accounts opened in Europe, mainly in Portugal, “before ventilationin Asia and Turkey. The suspects were arrested and their homes searched on Monday in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Eilat by the Israeli police on a request for mutual criminal assistance sent by the Jirs de Bordeaux.
